Inspired by the high-energy mixing of legends like Carl Cox and Jeremy Healy, he first emerged from the early rave and house scenes before evolving into darker, more progressive sounds by the mid-’90s, shaped by the influence of Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, Sasha, and John Digweed.

In 1999, Ger made the move to Dublin, Ireland, immersing himself in the city’s thriving club culture. He became a familiar name at iconic venues such as Temple Theatre, Ormonde Dublin, and the GPO in Galway, while also securing weekly and monthly residencies with platforms like Radio4by4 and Progressive Heaven, building a loyal global following.

Today, Ger’s mixes are celebrated throughout the worldwide progressive house community, with recent features on the Progressive House Classics blog. His long-running podcast, Purple Haze Sessions, airs across a respected network of stations including Subcode, Super Progressive, KDK DJ’s, Progressive House UK, Sonar Bliss Radio Belfast, RTE PULSE’s Back 2 Basics, Mixpub Radio, Inferno Radio, Chicago Youth Radio, So What! Radio, ODH Radio, and Report2Dancefloor. Known for his deep, dark progressive house, techno, and nostalgic old-school selections, Ger Zinio continues to captivate audiences, blending classic foundations with fresh, emotive energy.
